The Storyteller
Vishal Punjabi, more popularly known as The Wedding Filmer, has become one of the premier celebrity videographers. He has documented high-profile celebrity weddings for Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli; Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh; Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra among many more.
Talented filmmaker, with an ability to make all his clients genuinely joyful. Even the most distant celebrities become relatable through cinematic wedding films that showcase their struggles in real-life.
Punjabi hails from Accra, Ghana and graduated with degrees in IT, Drama, Filmmaking and Business. For 10 years he worked alongside Shah Rukh Khan at Red Chillies Entertainment as a line producer – but it wasn’t until making his own wedding video that he decided to start his company.
He soon found out that people loved his videos, so he created The Wedding Filmer as a result of popular demand. Since then, this filmmaker has gone on to film weddings of several celebrity couples – becoming an expert in his field. Recently, Punjabi shared an unexpected tale involving one renowned Bollywood actor caught cheating two months after their lavish wedding ceremony, recounted during an appearance on YouTube influencer DJ Simz’s channel.

Vishal Punjabi has gained fame as one of India’s premier videographers, known for creating whimsical wedding films with fairytale-esque imagery. Additionally, he’s an exceptional musician renowned for creating heart-stirring renditions of popular songs like ‘Dust to Dust’ that would make an amazing soundtrack!
Punjabi began his Bollywood career at Red Chillies Entertainment as a line producer, working on several movies such as Main Hoon Na and Paheli. Later he transitioned into advertising by directing TV commercials for brands and products like Pepsi, Hyundai, Wipro and ICICI Bank.
Punjabi has also captured weddings for celebrity couples such as Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra as well as appearing on DJ Simz’s YouTube channel where he revealed an harrowing incident involving an acclaimed Bollywood actor who was caught cheating two months after their lavish wedding! Furthermore, with his team, they developed Chal Le Chal – an emotional rendition of Dust to Dust which would make any wedding event unforgettable!

Vishal Punjabi showed early promise as a visual artist. Following his instincts and natural passion for visual art, Vishal began creating short films to showcase his skills. Since then, Vishal has become one of India’s premier wedding videographers with TWF creating some of the most stunning, magical wedding films seen anywhere.
Punjabi’s work is instantly recognisable for its use of bold and amusing storytelling. He has directed commercials for major brands like Hero Honda, Pepsi, Hyundai, ITC Foods and Wipro as well as working with top agencies like FCB/ULKA, J. Walter Thompson and Saatchi & Saatchi – and created popular wedding videos like Chal le Chal and Dust to Dust.
