The show has done serious disservice to its characters, often going off track and altering their development in ways which do not benefit their wellbeing.

Anupama wants Toshu to be brought before police for his crime and be placed behind bars, yet Toshu begs her forgiveness by explaining he did this to save Pari.
Anuj vouches to catch the culprit Toshu to confess his crime before police n get him behind the bars.
Rupali Ganguly stars as Anuj Kapadia while Sudhanshu Pandey portrays Ankush. Madalsa Sharma portrays Pakhi. Adhik and Pakhi divorce and she raises Ishani singlehandedly while Anuj and Kinjal reside in US with Paritosh and Shruti respectively. Pakhi’s tantrums upset Adhik who eventually broke up with her but later reconciled. Meanwhile Anupamaa struggles to balance caring for both biological children as well as an upamaa who seems to struggle between caring for both parties affecting her marital relationship.
Anuj finds out that his son Toshu has been jailed for an offense he did not commit, yet the law enforcement agencies insist on having him behind bars. Anuj realizes he will have to apologize to Toshu but also realizes he won’t. Baa pleads with Anuj to consider father daughter bonding and forgive Toshu; she refuses.
She makes an attempt at catching Toshu by telling him she will take him to the police stn and try to catch him there, however Toshu overhears this and becomes terrified; therefore he decides to go in disguise to the court with help from his friends.
Anuj creates an opportunity to catch Toshu by inciting a fight between Vanraj and Leela, but Anuj realises his mistake but decides to do everything possible to track down Toshu. Yashdeep advises Mr Zaveri to drop his case so Toshu may get bail. At that moment, an intoxicated Toshu arrives at Shah house shouting Kinjal’s name while drunk Toshu arrives and starts shouting about her name being Kinjal’s.

Anuj attempts to track down Toshu and bring him in for prosecution, but Toshu begs her not to think only of father daughter bonding and forgive him. Anuj reminds Toshu that if caught, his punishment will be severe so she asks him to surrender himself voluntarily to police immediately – Toshu asks her for more time until tomorrow morning before surrendering himself voluntarily.
Dimpy and Titu of the dance academy miss each other very much, so they agree to meet soon & spend time together. Dimpy proposes to Titu who accepts and they share an intimate romantic moment together. Meanwhile Toshu returns home after work to be horrified to find CCTV footage showing him with Baa and Kavya stealing money, then call his school who claim that he has been kidnapped; Toshu panics & asks Anuj to bring him directly to a police station
She informs him of what happened and tells him the truth of it all, including the fact that not only he, but Kavya and Hasmuk also stole money from them. Toshu explains they planned on getting married so took all their money in preparation but didn’t anticipate what would occur afterwards.
Anupama is very upset with Toshu. She believes he ruined both her life and career by stealing money from her parents, not caring about her needs, or thinking only of himself. Anupama tells Toshu that she has too much work at home for anyone else to come into it and befriended – an accusation Toshu denies.
Baa and Vanraj hold Anupama responsible for Toshu’s crimes, saying it is her motherly duty to provide values to their children and teach them well. Baa and Vanraj argue that in India and Asia it falls more on mothers to care for their kids rather than teach values to them directly.
Anupama vouches to take her son to the police stn.
Yashdeep and Beeji unexpectedly surprise Anupama on her birthday, and she responds emotionally by hugging and dancing together with them all. Shruti arrives and wishes Anupama. Anupama attempts to give them some privacy but is ignored; Kavya attempts to provoke Anupama but again is dismissed without consequence, prompting Anupama to cry as she thinks about how she might take back her house from them; Babu ji reminds Anupama that should anything happen then she won’t hide anything from them all and them all together as she promises not to try and hold back anything hidden from them or them in future events.
Anupama is distraught over being unable to take her son, Toshu. She berates him for getting her implicated in a crime and sentenced behind bars, yet refuses to come back home with them; Anupama threatens the police station if she doesn’t receive him; Toshu tries convincing Anupama that she must forgive him because she is his mother and they did it for Pari; his words stunned Anupama even further.
She then goes to the police station and vows to bring Toshu with her, though he remains stubborn about coming. After asking him several times to reveal the truth about his family situation he refuses and she decides to move into her husband’s place instead of returning home.
Anuj tries to convince her, but she remains unwilling. So, he attempts to make her sweets. He tells her he can’t accuse the Shahs but will help her, trying to persuade her that Kavya, Vanraj and Leela can provide assistance while Hasmukh, Pakhi and Kinjal cannot. After leaving she becomes overwhelmed with Anuj’s thoughts; crying as she questions what might come of living with someone new.
